Tour continued

Our quality control team oversees
each step of production ensuring the highest quality. In this picture chairs are examined prior to entry into the paint
department. A flaw is pointed out and the supervisor agrees that this chair needs to be
reworked. We tell our inspectors that every product in our range is made
to last for a generation and to make sure that it does! |

Another important quality control step: examination before packing for
shipment. Every item goes through a rigorous quality control process.
Joints are checked and they ensure that screws are recessed, to mention
just a few inspection steps. Our QC inspectors have been trained to see flaws that even
our most exacting European customers are not aware of. |
| Packing
is an art. It must be bulky enough to prevent damage, yet allow the items
to be stacked within one another to conserve space in the container. |
 |
Product has been packed for loading into a container, while other
product (in the back) has been staged for packing. The loading
supervisor must be experienced and skilled because space in a
container is definitely limited and expensive. |

A jumbo container has been filled with product, hooked to a truck and
is now ready for the trip to the harbor in Semarang – bound for Hamburg. |
